Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, sometimes called "Chest Physiotherapy", can help patients who have heart or lung conditions.
These difficulties may be caused by a chronic disease, such as, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or other conditions.
The purposes the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy are to:
Improve quality of life by improving endurance
Help / educate about how to remove secretion (phlegm or sputum) using Airway Clearance Techniques
Improve Body oxygenation by enhancing chest wall flexibility and teaching breathing exercises & positions (including postural drainage)
Liaise with doctors about progress and medication
